Course Description:  This course provides requirements and practices for entry level child care providers in the State of  Wisconsin who are or will work with infants and toddlers. 


Nurture infant and toddler development.
Provide a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers.
Demonstrate care giving routines.
Provide developmentally appropriate guidance for infants and toddlers.
Plan activities that promote infant and toddler growth and development.
Communicate infant and toddler development and care giving.

The course consists of 6 learning plans.

Learning Plan 1  Quality Child Care
Learning Plan 2  Provide a Safe and Healthy Environment
Learning Plan 3  Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), SIDS
Learning Plan 4  Provide Developmentally Appropriate Guidance
Learning Plan 5 Plan Activities that Promote Infant and Toddler Growth and Development
Learning Plan 6  Communication
