This blended class is 35 hours of online self paced coursework and 15 hours of in person mandatory zoom meetings. We will meet through zoom on the following dates: Monday Sept. 9th 8:00 am – 11:00 am Thursday Sept. 12th 8:00 am – 11:00 am Monday Sept. 16th 8:00 am – 11:00 am Thursday Sept. 19th – 8:00 am – 11:00 am Monday Sept. 23rd 8:00 am – 11:00 am
This course provides foundational knowledge and skills training for individuals as they begin, or consider, a career in caring for children. Content includes exploring a variety of early care and education settings, including group and family care. Participants explore rules and regulations governing group and family child care and the responsibilities of early care and educatinal professionals. Practices and strategies will be explored to reflect the diverse needs of children and families in Wisconsin.
